Community Bible Study

The Bible is how we come to know God and his ways. The problem for a lot of us is that we need some help to study the Bible--help with the discipline and with understanding.

Community Bible Study provides structure and fellowship to do just that. Each week, we answer a few daily questions on the passage before us. On Tuesday evenings, we gather in a small group of 10-15 men to discuss our answers. Then we all gather for about a half hour of vivid teaching and application of that passage. This past year about 70 men from over 30 Rockford-area churches gathered each week either in person or by ZOOM.

Here are three Old Testament books which are unfamiliar to many Christians yet they foreshadow our own experience individually and corporately as believers. What were the plagues on Egypt about? Why is Passover so significant? Why did Israel languish in the wilderness for 40 years? Isn't Leviticus... well... boring?? What's the book of Numbers about? Why couldn't Moses enter the Promised Land.

You won't get bored with this study and you will come to love this rich section of God's Word as we study it together!
